From the south –

Leave the M1 at Junction 29 signposted Chesterfield, then at the roundabout take the 2nd exit onto the A617 (signposted Chesterfield). Continue forward onto the A617. Entering Chesterfield at the roundabout take the 1st exit onto Markham Road (A619 signposted Bakewell, Buxton). Continue out of Chesterfield following signs for Bakewell until you come to Baslow. At the roundabout take the 2nd exit onto Church Lane (A623) signposted Stockport and Manchester. Continue straight on on this road (A623), passing through the villages of Calver, Stoney Middleton and then approx 3 miles on past a garage and the Three Stags Heads Pub. Continue up the hill for a further 2 miles and then take the left hand turn signposted Tideswell. Continue through the village, past the George Pub, on your right and the Church. At the NatWest Bank turn right (signposted Chapel/Manchester). This is the High Street, continue for approx 75 yards until you come to a chapel set back from the road on the left. The path to the left of the Chapel leads to the cottage. If you get to the Star pub you have gone too far.

If approaching via the A6 -

Follow signposts for Buxton and then Bakewell. Approx 10 minutes drive out of Buxton along the A6 will bring you to a left hand turn signposted Tideswell. Take this turn and continue along this road for approx 10 minutes through the village of Millers Dale and past Tideswell Dale. You will then enter Tideswell. Continue into the village, past the Horse and Jockey pub on your left and the Greengrocers on your right. When you can see the Natwest Bank on your right, take the 2nd left hand turn (signposted Chapel/Manchester).. This is the High Street, continue for approx 75 yards until you come to a chapel set back from the road on the left. The path to the left of the Chapel leads to the cottage. If you get to the Star pub you have gone too far.
